Olena Edmeades achieves National emerging athlete categorisation
Congratulations to PGA athlete Olena Edmeades who has been Nationally Categorised within the Gymnastics Australia National Categorisation Framework as Emerging.
Athlete Categorisation is a process by which the Australian High-Performance System identifies athletes with the capability to represent Australia at significant international events, including the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.
Olena is one of only 23 nationally categorised Women’s Artistic Gymnasts and will be supported by the Australian Institute of Sport in her development as she continues her career representing Australia at the international level.
This is a significant achievement for Olena and is very well deserved. We are very proud of her hard work, dedication, and the example she sets for other athletes in our program.
