Springtime Fun at the WAG Judges Invitational
Senior Levels Athletes
Squad 1
Judges Invitational was the first opportunity for PGA’s Future International and Senior International athletes to show off some new upgrades and the girls didn’t disappoint.
Olena (SI) added a Double Arabian to her floor routine, and delivered a stunning vault today with a 13.200
Ursula (FI) added a Shap into her bar routine again, achieving a score of 12.75
Summa (FI) added a flip, flip, layout into her beam routine again and performed an exceptional floor routine, earning her a 13.600 score
Alex (FI) added a layout 2.5 twist on floor, delivering consistent routines on all apparatus in her first outing as a Future International athlete - congratulations Alex!
Squad 2
Our Squad 2 athletes have also been working on some new upgrades this season, with Addison and Indigo also competing at Level 9 for the first time.
Indigo (L9) added a new connection on bars, a back handspring series on beam, and a hurdle entry to her beam dismount. Indigo placed 1st AA: 1st on Beam, Joint 2nd on Bars, 2nd on Floor, 3rd on Vault
Addison (L9) added new connection on bars, a tour jete leap and backwards 1 ½ twist on floor. Addison placed 2nd AA: 1st on Floor, 2nd on Beam, 2nd on Vault, joint 2nd on Bars
Amber (L8) added a new connection and kip cast to handstand ½ turn on bars. Amber placed 1st AA: 1st on Bars, 1st on Beam, 2nd on Floor, 4th on Vault
Charlotte (L7) added a kip cast to handstand on bars, a round off on beam, and upgraded her floor routine with a front handspring front layout, wolf turn and change leg side leap. Charlotte placed 1st AA: 1st on Bars, 1st on Floor, 2nd on Beam
A special mention goes to Charlotte, who returned to the competition floor today for the first time following an injury and delivered an absolutely fabulous performance and personal best. Well done Charlotte, the coaching team are incredibly proud of you!

In their penultimate competition of the season, our Levels 3, 4, 5 and 6 athletes pulled out all the stops with some amazing performances.
Squad 3
Competing in the Junior Division, our Squad 3 girls all improved their scores this competition, achieving several personal bests, exceptional scores on Vault and Bars, and five All-Around placings. Well done girls!!

Development 3 and 4
Our Development athletes also shone brightly on the competition floor today, Our Level 3s again delivered some lovely quality routines, and our Level 4s all achieved apparatus placings, and a special mention goes to Sassy who placed 1st All Around. The coaching team are very proud of you all - your hard work is paying off.

Thank you to all the athletes, parents, friends and families (and school teachers!) who came down to support our athletes. It really makes a difference - the atmosphere at the State Gymnastics Centre this weekend was amazing and we greatly appreciate our club community and the genuine care and support our girls feel.
